Stage one
Working out what you actually want
One advisor. Not a call centre, not a form, not a rotating team. They learn your situation properly, tell you honestly what Mexico can and can’t give you, and write you a plan.
We are not a brokerage that offers advice. We are an advisory firm, and sometimes the honest advice is to wait, to rent, or not to come at all.
Stage one
One advisor. Not a call centre, not a form, not a rotating team. They learn your situation properly, tell you honestly what Mexico can and can’t give you, and write you a plan.
Stage two
Only if there’s something worth doing. Residency, property, legal, title, escrow, financing — run through specialist firms, coordinated by us, with 43 verified checks before you commit.
These are the questions that actually decide where in Mexico suits you. Most people have never been asked half of them.
01
Motivation
Retirement, remote work, investment, family, or escape. It changes everything downstream.
02
Timeline
Under six months and “someday” are different services.
03
Monthly budget
Determines which regions are actually viable, not which are appealing.
04
Capital
Buy or rent, and where.
05
Residency eligibility
Income and asset thresholds gate the entire plan. We establish this early.
06
Climate tolerance
The most underestimated variable. Coastal humidity defeats a lot of people.
07
Healthcare needs
Existing conditions dictate proximity to specific hospitals — often the binding constraint.
08
Spanish
And whether you actually intend to learn it. Decides expat hub versus immersion.
09
Community
A large expat community, or genuine integration.
10
Setting
Coast, colonial town, or major city.
11
Safety sensitivity
Legitimate, and it varies enormously by person. We meet it honestly.
12
Access
Airport proximity and how often you'll realistically fly to family.
13
Family
Schools, pets, aging parents, and a spouse who may be less sure than you.
14
Risk tolerance
How much uncertainty you can comfortably hold.
If your income doesn’t meet residency thresholds and there’s no route to it, we’ll say so. If your healthcare needs exceed what’s available where you want to live, we’ll say so. If the budget doesn’t survive honest numbers, we’ll show you the numbers.
A firm that never tells anyone no is a sales operation with a nicer word for it.
Six months in a place before buying into it is frequently the right call — and it costs us our largest fee to say so.
We’d rather you bought the right thing in a year than the wrong thing this month. You cannot undo a bad purchase in Mexico cheaply.
Legal work is done by a Mexican law firm. Title insurance is underwritten by a title insurer. Escrow is held by a neutral escrow agent. We select them, we manage them, and we are accountable for the outcome.
We’d rather work with the firm that is genuinely best at one thing than employ one person who is adequate at everything. The difference is that we answer for it either way.
We don’t publish which firms these are. Naming who handles foreign capital in Mexico exposes them, and eventually exposes clients. You’ll know exactly who is acting for you, in writing, before anything is signed.
Forty-five minutes, and you leave with a written plan whether or not you ever work with us.
Free. No obligation.

Ask anything, or book your call
What would you like to know about moving to or buying in Mexico? If you would rather just talk to someone, say so and I will find you a time.
Answers come from our published guides and the 43 checks, with the source shown. Not legal or immigration advice. We never ask for financial details here.
